About me

Hi and welcome to my site.

I’m a Digital Transformation Enabler, with close to two decades’ experience working with some of the world’s biggest brands and companies, leveraging technology to transform their operations and drive change. I’ve always been curious about the relationship between technology and people, how technology influences our interactions with each other, and in turn, how those interactions influence the technology that we create.

What I Do

Put simply, my work involves aligning enterprise strategy with the right technologies to deliver products, services and experiences of real value. By combining data, judgment, best-practice and market insight, I work with executives and their teams to identify patterns early and turn them into innovative advantages that drive growth and scale.

What I’m Passionate About

I get excited about using technology to bring clarity to chaos. I’m driven by questions that help us to grow and improve. I believe technology should simplify things, not add complexity. So I like to focus on cutting through the endless stream of ‘new’, to find what genuinely serves human needs.

What Drives Me

A genuine enjoyment of working with technology and also a recognition that technology is never neutral. Every innovation, every new system, interface or algorithm embodies its creator’s biases and also those of the data that it learns from, to a degree. Some, more than others. The fact that these innovations also go on to shape our behaviours in subtle and often very profound ways, transforms technology innovation for me, from a simple optimisation exercise to an opportunity that can foster more equitable and inclusive digital spaces that welcome diverse human experiences.

So, I actively seek out those missing perspectives by exploring whose needs remain unaddressed and whose voices are unheard throughout our design processes and then I do my best to foster those inclusions. I believe that impactful innovation requires diverse input and the courage to always challenge our assumptions about what’s ‘normal’, especially when many of the assumptions that we make often reflect such narrow worldviews, especially in technology innovation.

More About Me

I’m also a voracious reader, writer, art & music enthusiast and amateur golf and tennis player with varied intellectual interests ranging from cognitive science to psychology, modernist architecture to digital culture, machine learning to human-centred design and everything in between.

This site is mainly a reflection of my personal thoughts, philosophies and curiosity across a wide range of subjects that interest and fascinate me. I often tackle in my blog section, some of the thoughts that occupy my mind such as: “How to maintain our humanity in an increasingly automated world?”, “What makes technology truly meaningful?”, “Where do our digital and analog lives intersect in ways that enrich and not diminish our human experiences?”, “What does it mean to be human?”, “Can machines have a conscience?”, “How does technology reshape human connection?”, “What implicit futures are we designing toward?”

I invite you to join me as you read along and I hope that my thoughts can spark a conversation. I’m also open to exploring your ideas if you’ve got any to share. Read on to find out what else inspires me and feel free to engage if you’re comfortable to.
